Under a color photograph of Truman reading at his desk, Truman writes: 'To mygood friend and able Secretary of Commerce, kindest regards. H.S.T' Opposite, on the limitation page, he adds: "To: Hon. Charles Sawyer From: The President White House, August 9, 1952'. Fine condition, with slip case. Sawyer was a most competent Secretary of Commerce, founding the Maritime Administration and incorporating it into the Commerce Department. A fine association.
