Description:

[ Autograph ] George Washington 1732-1799 First President of the United States and commander of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Fine A.D.S. "G. Washington", lp. 12in x 7.25in, Frederick Co., Va., Oct. 22, 1750 In his flowing script, young George Washington undertakes a survey, probably on behalf of Lord Fairfax, of 203 acres of "waste and ungranted land" made for Isaac Foster, a prospective purchaser. At the top, Washington adds a small sketch of the tract showing a stream running into the property, with his surveyor's reference points also indicated. Two tiny margin chips affect nothing. An attractive document, in better condition than most, matted with a colored engraving of Washington and framed.
