Patton 1885-1945 "Old Blood and Cuts" was one of the finest tank commanders in history, rolling his forces through Tunisia, Sicily, France and Germany until halted at the Rhine War date T.L.S. 'G. S. Patton, Jr.' on Headquarters Third United States Army letterhead, [France], Jan. 8, 1945 to Miss. A. Fitzpatrick. In part: "Please accept my sincere thanks for the splendid box of smoking tobacco you so nicely sent me..." At the time, Patton and his tank forces were racing toward the Rhine and the ultimate defeat of Nazi Germany. Folds, otherwise fine.
