[ Autograph ] Benjamin Harrison Manuscript L.S. 3pp. 8vo., Indianapolis, Apr. 26, 1893 on mourning stationery in consequence of the recent death of his wife Caroline. Harrison regretfully declines a nomination to be Commander of the Loyal Legion from Ohio, stating that he was originally from another state and would therefore not be the ideal man for the position. he also mention the potential candidacy of Major General Lew Wallace for the position. Fine.
