Group of 11 various letters, documents, etc. by various Nazi officials in Austria following the Anschluss, 12pp. total, most from Vienna, 1938-1941, to various correspondents, all in German. The correspondence deals with various aspects of Nazi rule and includes: A.L.S. of Hitler Youth Senior Banner Leader Dr. Anton Hadwiger to an unidentified Hitler Youth Area Leader; a letter to Gauleiter Josef Burckel from the Treasurer of Gau Vienna, explaining that 15.4% of all NSDAP members in Austria are serving within the Wehrmacht and providing information on numbers of Party members, the amount of dues raised and the boost in membership; a letter to the Reichs Commission for the Reunification from the Reich Broadcasting Corporation re: an invitation to a speech given by Hinka-Garde Murgas founder Karol Murgas; a letter to Gauleiter Josef Burckel from staff of the Reich Commission for the Reunification sending a copy of a letter; a letter to Dr. Herbert Schlenz confirming that the NSDAP would be paying for Reich Minister Dr. Frank's visit; a letter to Josef Burckel from T.E.N.O., Vienna, requesting that all questions be directed to the Provincial Governor; a letter to the Finance Department of the NSDAP in Austria from the Graz office of the NSDAP Treasurer re: payment of two staff members; an unsigned copy of a telegram to an unspecified battalion explaining that Burckel has sent RM2000 for its Christmas party; copy of an unsigned and undated memo to a number of local leaders of the National Socialist Peoples Welfare Organization; an unsigned letter from SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Dr. Geschke to SA-Sturmbannfuhrer Drum regarding the family of an SS and Police official who had suffered under Austrian rule and requesting RM100 to help his nine children; a signed memo stating that the conference of the German-Italian Commission has been postponed. Generally very good.
