Nice lot of three A.L.S.'s, 4pp. 4to in all, dated August 20, 1978, Sept. 21, 1978, and Oct. 3, [presumably 1978], to a policeman named Clay, in part: "...You just may be the answer to my prayers...I have a dear friend of some 30 years...Barbara...she is an alcoholic and was in an institution...she talked herself out of the institution...I don't know the name of the institution...can you help?" Continuing in the second letter, "...Thanks a million for your excellent `detective' work. I have written Barbara a long letter...I'm sure I explained the impossibility of a telephone here. For me it is a blessing because all kinds of kooks call me, and the office is very good about protecting my privacy..." Two signed in full, the last with initial. Fine condition.
