Description:

(1920“2005) Hollywood technical advisor on the subject of quick-draw with a revolver. He also worked as an actor; his most famous role was that of the unnamed man shot by Marshal Matt Dillon in the opening sequences of the long-running series "Gunsmoke". Ojala also taught quick-draw and shooting techniques to James Arness, Robert Culp, James Garner, Kevin Kline, Paul Newman, Hugh O'Brian, Clint Walker, and Marilyn Monroe. He was a close personal friend to Audie Murphy as well. July, 1956 edition of "Guns" magazine showing him in western garb with Marilyn Monroe, inscribed: "George - The River of No Return Arvo Ojala" on the cover. An article withing illustrates and describes Ojala's fast-draw and shooting techniques. Cover torn along spine, still very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
