Description:

ARTHUR AXMANN
(1913 - 1996) Leader of the Hitler Youth from 1940 to 1945. In that capacity he commanded units that were incorporated into the Home Guard, many losing their lives in the defense of Berlin in 1945 lacking any military training. Axmann was one of the last to see Hitler in the Führerbunker. At Berlin's fall he went into hiding under an assumed name only to be arrested in December 1945 while organizing a Nazi underground movement. Tried at Nuremberg, he served three years as a 'major offender.' S.P. 4" x 6" b/w, a photo of a Nazi rally, nicely signed. Very good.
