Description:

[ Antiquities ] Mesopotamian Stone Seal A scarce Mesopotamian black stone seal, about 1in x 1in, originally used in ancient Babylonia to seal documents, jars, and other items needing an owner's mark. The mark almost resembles a cat, and the seal has a hole through its body as many such seals were worn about the neck. This item dates from about 3,000 B.C. and is great for display.
