[ Antiquities ] Herodian Oil Lamp A buff, terra cotta oil lamp about 3 in diameter dating from the time of Jesus and Masada, about 40 C.E. These wore common household items, the illumination coming from th burning wick at the spout. Identical to those found at the House of St Peter at Capharnaum. Attractive, fine for display.
