[ Antiquities ] Bronze Toggle Pin A fine Judean bronze, ribbed, swollen-headed toggle pin, about 3in long, ca. 1,800 B.C. Dating from the time of King Hammurabi, these pins were used by Canaanites and Assyrians to fasten their clothing in the same manner as buttons and zippers. Excavated in northern Israel, the pin is in fine condition and bears an attractive patina.
