ANTHONY J. DREXEL
(1826-1893) American financier; a partner of J. P. Morgan who later opened the Drexel & Company in Philadelphia which underwrote stock and bond issues for new companies. Founded and endowed Drexel University in 1891. Rare partly-printed D.S. 1p. 8vo., affixed at left margin of a stock certificate issuing one hundred shares of the Saint Paul & Duluth Railroad Company, Aug. 6, 1888. Drexel signs on the separate document "A. J. Drexel". Most of the signature obscured by being pasted to the certificate, light toning thereon, overall very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
