Prominent French merchant who supplied material aid to the American Revolution, and a frequent correspondent with Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, and a business associate of Robert Morris. L.S., 2pp. 4to., Havre de Grace, [Md.], June 4, 1784 to John Dickinson, the President of Pennsylvania, transmitting "...to your Excellency the inclso'd I receiv'd from Thom. Barclay Esq[ui]re Consul G[enera]l of America in France whenever I shall be happy enough to be usefull to you, give me leave to beg of our Excellency to honor me with your orders & to assure you that I shall pay the greatest attention & care to perform them..." Limozin had recently arrived in the United States to assume the post of French Consul at Havre de Grace. With integral address leaf. Usual folds, small loss to address leaf from seal tear, else fine condition.
