Good lot of three signed items, all executed by nineteenth-century American suffragists and women's rights advocates. Includes: FRANCES E. WILLARD (1839-1898) American reformer who strongly advocated temperance and women's suffrage, and often preached her cause in hotel bars and saloons. Signature in black ink on a 5 ½" x 3 ¾" sheet of paper, adding the date "1894". Shows a fold and paper loss to the top and bottom left corners, with foil mounting remnants to the right corners, else very good. WITH: MARY A. LIVERMORE (1820-1905) American journalist, abolitionist, and advocate of women's rights. Signature in black ink on a 4" x 2 ½" card, adding the place "Melrose, Mass." Shows mounting remnants at the top and bottom edges, else very good. WITH: MARY A. DODGE (1833-1896)American writer and essayist noted for her wit and promotion of equality of education and occupation for women. Partial A.N.S., 1p. 12mo., [n.d., n.p.], in full: "...cannot see whit I have to do with the matter one way or another, except to wish you the largest possible success - Which I humbly do..." She signs at the conclusion in black ink. Shows toning to the top left corner and mounting remnants on the verso, else very good. Three pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
