AMERICAN SOLDIER'S WORLD WAR II SCRAPBOOK
A scrapbook compiled by Private First Class Robert Kitting of Battery A, 131st Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion, the cover titled ‘Military Secrets'. The photos within depict Kitting in uniform, his sweetheart, fellow soldiers, various artillery, posing with captured Nazi flags, etc. Towards the back of the book are four pieces of German insignia, including: three Luftwaffe breast eagles and a Luftwaffe M43 cap trapezoidal patch, with several World War II patches, including: U.S. Army Air Force AWS Observer, 4th Army, Antiaircraft Command, 1st Army, 9th Army, and the 94th Infantry Division (pasted at the front of the book). Further content includes: magazine clippings, a poster of Hitler bearing his facsimile signature, copy of a foldout map showing the movement of the 49th AAA Brigade in Europe, telegrams, and souvenir booklets. Secured closed by a red and blue army helmet band stapled to the covers. Shows expected wear, overall, very good.

Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
