AMERICAN PROPAGANDA POSTERS
Good pair of smaller American World War II propaganda posters. Includes: Propaganda poster, 14 1/4" x 20", a chest up depiction of a U.S. Army soldier in dress uniform, wearing dark glasses and clutching a white cane to indicate blindness. The poster is entitled "So the Jap''s a Snap? I Can''t See It", a warning from a wounded veteran to take combat against the Japanese seriously. The poster is marked at top right as a "U.S. Army Official Poster", and at to bottom edge as "ISD No. 207" and "U.S. Government Printing Office : 1944 - O - 619096". Shows original mailing folds, with an approx. 1" tear at the top edge repaired on the verso with cello tape, else very good. WITH: Propaganda poster, 10" x 14", depicting a factory worker with a large wrench and calipers superposed over a photograph of a factory floor packed with locomotives, with the title "Keep ''em Rolling! with Payroll Savings". The exhortation "Buy War Bonds" appears at the bottom right corner of the illustration, while the bottom edge is marked: "U.S. Government Printing Office : 1944 - O - 576627" and "WFD 894". One or two minute chips to the edges, else very good to fine. Two pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
