Description:

Good lot of three American military hats, includes: M1902 visor cap, constructed of blue wool with two encircling bands of red wool, fitted with an artilleryman"˜s crossed cannon insignia badge at front. The brown faux-leather sweatband is fully detached, and the reverse bears stamps indicating a 1915 contract date, identifying the maker as W.N. Susskind & Co. of Philadelphia, and indicating that it has been accepted by the Philadelphia Quartermaster's Depot. The interior of the cap is lined with black viscose, the original chin strap is missing, else very good. WITH: U.S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve service cap, constructed of olive-green wool serge with a Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor insignia badge at front, above a red braided cord. The interior is lined with dark green synthetic fabric, with a sewn-in label identifying the owner as Evelyn L. Robinson, and a second indicating the size "22". Very good. WITH: West Point Military Academy cap, constructed of grey wool with a black woven band, fitted with a U.S. infantry badge at front, and with a black faux-leather chin strap affixed over the visor. The interior is lined with black silk fitted with a sweat shield covering an almost entirely invisible maker's mark. The brown faux-leather sweat band is almost completely detached, else very good. Three pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
