AMERICAN GENERALS OF WORLD WAR II
Lot of three items signed by American generals, includes: J. LAWTON COLLINS (1896-1987) Commanded the 25th Infantry Div. in operations on Guadalcanal and New Georgia, also commanded VII Corps in the Normandy invasion and the race to the Rhine, T.L.S. 1p. 8vo., July 16, 1974 making an appointment; ERNEST N. HARMON (1894-1979) Commander of the 1st and 2nd Armored Div, fought in North Africa, landed at Salerno and Anzio, helped take Rome and fought in the drive northwards in Italy, A.L.S. 1p. 8vo., Oct. 8, 1973, sends pictures of himself in uniform adding: "...Hope your boys are ready to do their duty if necessary...My three boys were in World War II. One in the Pacific & two in the Atlantic...", and GEORGE E. BROWN (1918-1978) Brigadier general, took part in the low-level bombing raid against oil refineries at Ploiesti Aug. 1, 1943. The 93d Bombardment Group was the second of five B-24 groups that raided Ploiesti, later served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, S.P. 8" x 10" b/w, a pose in uniform. Three pieces.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry.
