AMELIA EARHART
(1897 - 1937) American aviator, the first woman to cross the Atlantic, first solo across the Atlantic and first Hawaii-Mainland solo; lost in an around-the-world attempt. Her book, 20 hrs. 40 min. - Our Flight in the Friendship (New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1928) 314pp. 8vo., bound in blue cloth boards. Signed "Amelia Earhart" in green ink on the front blank flyleaf. Affixed to a blank leaf at the end of volume is a convocation program from Thiel College on Dec. 11, 1932 at which Earhart was a speaker. Dampstains to boards and spine, binding a bit loose, pages lightly toned, else overall very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
