ALLIED OCCUPATION OF GERMANY BROADSIDES
Good pair of bilingual broadsides, both printed by the Allied Military Government for display in occupied Germany. Includes: printed broadside in English and German, 29 1/4" x 40", "Ordinance No. 1" released by the "Military Government - Germany, Supreme Commander''s Area of Control", defining capital crimes and offences for which German citizens could be prosecuted. The announcement lists 43 capital offenses punishable by death, including killing or assaulting a member of the occupation forces, espionage, impersonating Allied personnel, presenting armed resistance to Allied soldiers, communicating with enemy forces, sabotage, unlawful possession of firearms, and more. The poster also lists other offenses punishable by lesser sentences. "Shows original folds with some considerable splitting thereto, with cello tape remnants to the verso, just good to very good. WITH: Printed broadside in German and English, 17" x 23", "Law No. 51" released by the "Military Government - Germany, Supreme Commander''s Area of Control", defining the use and value of Mark notes printed and circulated by occupation forces. Shows original folds with slight splitting, with some cello tape remnants else very good. Two pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
