(1753 - 1815) Marshal of France who served under Lafayette in the American Revolution, and with Napoleon in Italy and Egypt. Unusual content manuscript L.S. "Alexandre" 1p. 4to., Paris, Mar. 31, 1811, to Ferdinand de Soer, "The proprietor in the Department of L'Ourthe", in part: "…I have appointed you Master of the Wolf Hunt in the Department of L'Ourthe. I do not doubt the zeal with which you will apply your skills, nor do I doubt your taste for the hunt whose purpose is to destroy harmful animals…I am including, together with your Commission, two copies of the organizational plan [not present] of the Wolf Hunt and the regulations regarding the hunts. I have named G. de Borchgrave as Captain of the Wolf Hunt of the 23 Forestry Preservation Group of which the Department…if a part. You will correspond with him…". Light wrinkling, very slight stain at lower bottom corner, else very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
