749. ERNST F. W. ALEXANDERSON (1878 - 1975) Pioneering Swiss-American inventor of the television. An excessively rare A.N.S. executed on a 8 1/2" x 6" card, Schenectady, May 10, 1928, in full: "To Sr. A. Zorilla de San Martin Appreciating your interest in television. E. F. W. Alexanderson". Opposite the sentiment is a photograph showing Alexanderson showing the back of a TV to another inventory. The television made its debut at the New York World's Fair in 1939, thus this item precedes that demonstration by nine years. Along with the original postmarked envelope, very good condition. $200 - 300
