(1835 - 1911) Union brigadier general who held the "Bloody Angle" against Pickett's charge at Gettysburg. War-date D.S., "Alex S. Webb", 1p. oblong folio, "in the field", Mar. 13, 1863, an Inventory and Inspection Report submitted by a quartermaster for the 83th Rgt. Pa. Vols, and approved by Webb. The document notes a wagon saddle as being "worn out and worthless". Signed again by Webb on verso. Expected folds with minor foxing, very good.
