1014. ALEXANDER III (1845 - 1894) Emperor of Russia who as prince showed open disapproval of his father, Alexander II's policies. On gaining the throne, he dismantled his father's reforms, persecuted the Jews and advanced into Central Asia. Cabinet photograph, 4" x 6 1/2" sepia, a chest, up photograph in military jacket, backstamp by Levitsky & Sons, St. Petersburg. Plastic-like covering on recto loosening a bit, else very good. $150 - 200
