Fine content partly printed D.S. on 'In Namen des Reichs' letterhead as Chancellor of Germany, 1p. 4to., Berlin, May 13, 1936, an official appointment for multiple individuals. In full: 'Lieutenant General von Reichenau, Commanding General 7th Army Corps, and Captain Voelter of the General Staff in the War Ministry are at the special disposition of the Ministers of War from May 29, to October 31, 1936. Lieutenant General Freiherr von Weichs, Commander of the 1st Panzer Division is appointed deputy for the Commanding General of the 7th Army Corps. Major General von Vietinghoff Commander of the 1st Rifle Brigade to be deputized Commander of the First Panzer Division, retaining his previous duty station.' Cosigned by War Minister and Wehrmacht Commander in Chief WERNER VON BLOMBERG (1878-1946), and Commander in Chief of the Heer WERNER VON FRITSCH (1880-1939). Fine condition. WALTER VON REICHENAU (1884 -1942) would later be appointed a field marshal in the Wehrmacht and command the 6th Army during the invasions of Belgium and France. During the invasion of the Soviet Union, he continued to command the 6th Army as part of Army Group South as it captured Ukraine and advanced deep into Russia. MAXIMILIAN VON WEICHS (1881–1954) would also become a field marshall was a field marshal and would command forces during the invasions of France, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union.
