Description:

ADOLF HITLER'S NAPKIN RECOVERED FROM THE REICHS CHANCELLERY BUNKER
A fine relic of Hitler's last futile days in the bunker at the Reich's Chancellery in Berlin, a 14" x 16" formal white linen napkin with fancy border and embroidered with the initials "A H". The napkin shows the effects of the ordeal all bunker relics endured: stains of all types, and a hole near the center. From the estate of French Capt. V. Ziegelmeyer who headed the French Military Tribunal in Berlin in 1945 and later remained as Chief of the Civil Administration of the French Military Government in Berlin. He gained entrance to the Hitler's bunker with American soldiers of the 713th M.P. Battalion. Other items from his estate have been offered by Mohawk Arms, in 1998 and 2010.
