Description:

ADOLF HITLER MONGRAMMED COFFEE POT BY ALLACH
Rare white porcelain coffee pot, approx. 8.75 in. tall with lid, bearing on two sides a gilt droop-winged eagle and swastika on the rim, flanked by the gilt initials 'A H.' The base bears the underglaze 'SS' runes mark of porcelain manufacturer Allach in green, with their name beneath. The style of monogram presented here is most commonly seen applied to china used at the Berghof, Hitler's retreat at Obersalzburg. Tiny feather crack at the top rim of the pot, barely noticeable, and a small chip to the inside of the lid, also not detracting, else very good to fine. These pieces have been debated for years, with very prominent dealers on both sides, therefore we sell this piece strictly as is. Allach was opened on March 19, 1943 as the largest subcamp of the Dachau concentration camp because of the shortage of labor in the armament and building industry. The camp was also the manufacturing site of Allach porcelain and German dress uniform swords and daggers.
