Description:

Good lot of 48 press photographs, most 8" x 10" b/w, with several smaller examples, all illustrating the 1961-1962 trial of SS functionary and Holocaust facilitator ADOLF EICHMANN (1906-1961) in Jerusalem for war crimes and crimes against humanity. These images capture the exterior and interior of the courthouse; Eichmann's attorneys Robert Servatius and Dieter Wechtenbruch; the three judges presiding over the trial; the Israeli prosecution team; security around the courthouse; the villa which held the Wannsee Conference, where the groundwork was laid for the "Final Solution"; and many views of Eichmann in his bulletproof defendant's box, giving testimony, in his jail cell, and hearing his guilty verdict and death sentence. The majority of the images feature typed captions affixed to the verso, with several additional examples showing captions within the negative. All bear the backstamps of either the United Press International or Wide World Photos press syndicates. Very good overall.
