Pair of portrait engravings of Abraham Lincoln, each in slightly lacking condition, includes: 'Abraham Lincoln Signing the Emancipation Proclamation', image size 18 x 22 in., a proof engraving by John Serz after a painting by W. E. Winner, showing Lincoln seated at a table with the Holy Bible, with a handwritten copy of the Emancipation Proclamation in his left hand. Published by John Dainty in Philadelphia, ca. 1864. Damp stained towards the margins with numerous tears and spots of loss to the edges, holes to the bottom-right section, with some folds near the bottom edge. Some repair attempts on the verso. WITH: 'Abraham Lincoln', published by William Tate in New York, 21.75 x 29.5 in., showing a full-length image of Lincoln with his hand on a desk, which bears papers reading 'Constitution', 'Union', and 'Proclamation'. Mounted. Notable tears and chips towards the edges of engraving and mount, dampstained at numerous spots. Each are in need of restoration.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
