AARON BURR
(1756 - 1836) Vice President under Jefferson with whom he had been tied in the Presidential election of 1800, defeated through the efforts of Alexander Hamilton who he later killed in a duel. A.L.S. "A.B." 1p. small 8vo., "Steam Boat, Tuesday morning", Sept. 20, 1824. In part: "...Since our parting it has occured to me that Mr. Everett might be useful on the Inquiries in the Rathbone Cases - if you should think so, you may engage him, state to him my absence & uncertainty of my return - about 30 doll. would probably satisfy him..." Usual folds, otherwise very good. Burr's cases involved land in Clintonville, Ohio.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
