A LOCK OF EVA BRAUN'S HAIR
A generous lock of Eva Braun's hair, about 40 or more small strands, removed from a brush or comb from her vanity set looted by an American soldier at Hitler's retreat at Berchtesgaden. According to the provenance included, the soldier was a member of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. According to Maj. Charles Snyder's Treasure Trove: The Looting of the Third Reich (copies of relevant pages included), the 506th arrived at Hitler's retreat one day after it was taken by the elements of the 7th Infantry. Purchased by our consignor directly from Snyder (copy of his signed provenance included). De-accessed from an East Coast museum.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer.
