474. A CANADIAN VIEWS CONGRESS DEBATE Fine content A.L.S. of one Thomas Harkums [?], 3pp. 4to., Montreal, July 29, 1791, apparently to John Langdon. Harkums mentions his visit to Philadelphia, his meeting "Governor Mifflin and General Stuart", and adds: "...Mornings I spent in your Congress , & the Debates of its Members, I shall ever consider with Rapture and delight...the most elegantly & splendidly filled of any in my Life...[I wish] to dwell among the greatest asserters of the rights of Mankind...my tongue never ceases the praises of your Country..."
