1936 BERLIN OLYMPICS EPHEMERA
A fine collection of items relating to the 1936 Olympics. Includes: a collection of three issues of ‘Strength and Health' magazine; a Sport Pictorial issue from October, 1936, with ‘Four Pages of Color Pictures of Jesse Owens and other Olympic Champions'; a collection of four photographs concerning the rowing competitions of the 1936 Summer Olympics; the front page of the ‘General Anzeiger', a regional newspaper published in Bonn, Germany, from Aug. 19, 1936, with the headline ‘German Women's Relay Team is the fastest!' with pictures from the day they achieved gold; a fine 7 x 9 in. b/w photograph from 1936 of Team USA with several black athletes visible outside the railroad station in Berlin with an attached caption that reads ‘BERLIN-THE U.S. OLYMPIC ATHLETES LISTEN TO A WELCOMING SPEECH BY DR. LIPPERT IN FRONT OF THE RAILROAD STATION IN BERLIN, AFTER THEIR ARRIVAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES'; a copy of Village of Peace' (Leipzig: Philip Reclam) 1936, 8vo. 60pp., about the first Olympic village in Berlin, featuring illustrations and photographs of the various buildings and a large fold out map of the premises. Spine cover is broken, with a cover from Leipzig; two postcards both featuring the Olympic Stadium; and 14 Adolf Hitler stamps in various colors. Fine to very good.

Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
