1870 INDEPENDENCE HALL AND PATRIOTIC PHOTOS
A great collection of five ca. 1870 cabinet cards related to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Includes: a view of Carpenter's Hall identified on the verso as: "The Hall where the first Continental Congress was held Sept. 5, 1774"; a view of Carpenter Hall's interior; a view of Rev. Duche, Rector of Christ Church giving the first prayer to the first Continental Congress in Carpenter Hall on Sep. 5, 1774; a view of Independence Hall; and an albumen of Charles Weisgerber's painting titled "Birth of Our Nation's Flag" showing Betty Ross sewing the first flag before George Washington, George Ross and Robert Morris. Overall very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arrange through the auction house.
