101ST AIRBORNE 506TH PARACHUTE INFANTRY ‘CURRAHEE SCRAPBOOK' SIGNED BY FOUR MEMBERS
Original, German-printed 1945 issue of the rare ‘Currahee Scrapbook', issued by the 506th P.I.R. The 14.5 x 10 in. volume contains approx. 200 heavily-illustrated pages describing the heroic exploits of the regiment, from July 20, 1942 to July 4, 1945, including D-Day and Market Garden. There are also seven pages of maps on tracing paper showing the regiment's engagements during the Battle of the Bulge. This fantastic album is signed by four members of the of the regiment, three of which are on the title page, including: EARL MCCLUNG, BRAD FREEMAN, and RICH COMPTON. WILLIAM ‘WILD BILL' GUARNERE also signs this book on the first page, adding ‘101st Airborne 506 P.I.R. Easy Company Band of Brothers D-Day to Berchtesgaden'. Wear to the covers, and some loose pages, still very good. WITH: a copy an article from ‘Military Heritage' containing a story on the 101st Airborne in Carentan.
