WILLIAM H. TAFT
(1857 - 1930) Twenty-seventh President of the United States and Supreme Court Chief Justice. Manuscript D.S. 2pp. small folio, Washington, April 17, 1911, an ornate, hand-engrossed appointment of "William Heimke [as] Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the United States to Salvador..." With an intact blind embossed paper seal of the United States. Heimke, a longtime diplomat and linguist would later go on to become chief of the Latin-American Division of the State Department and retired in1915. Usual folds, very light soiling, else very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
