WALLIS SIMPSON WINDSOR
(1896 - 1986) American divorcee whose romantic liaison with King Edward VIII resulted in his abdication of the throne "for the woman I love". A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., Bahamas, May 12, [n.y.], on letterhead of Government House to the artist Frederick Soldwedel, in part: "...I want to thank you for your generous donation of 5 etchings and the water color to the raffle for the Bahamas Red Cross...". Offsetting to right edge, light scattered foxing and tape remains at corners, good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
