"Ernest", 4pp. 8vo., Hanover, Mar. 3, 1844 to the son of British Prime Minister Spencer Perceval. Ernest lauds the late prime minister: "...after a series of many years, intimate acquaintance with him...having for so many years been connected with him in politics. I never knew a more upright or honest man...never swerved from those principles of policy...never seeking popularity...Would to God Spencer Perceval had been spared us...we never then would have heard of Catholic Emancipation to which I attribute all the miseries and calamities which have since been the lot of our unhappy Country...".
