VAUDEVILLE LUMINARIES A fine grouping of letters of vaudeville and Hollywood stars, all ca. 1966, written in support of fellow comedian and comedy writer Billy Glason's book How to Master the Ceremonies. All of the letters are congratulatory, many thanking Glason for his help during the writer's career as a comedian, others recalling anecdotes about the author. Among those writing Glason are BOB HOPE, JIMMY DURANTE, BING CROSBY, SID STONE, HENNY YOUNGMAN, RED BUTTONS, EDDIE DAVIS, MYRON COHEN (2), JOE E. LEWIS, TED LEWIS (2), BENNY RUBIN, NIPSY RUSSELL, RUDY VALLEE, STUBBY KAYE, GEORGE JESSEL, LEO SHULL, MOREY AMSTERDAM, MILTON BERLE, and others. Also included is Glason's first draft of a press release quoting these letters. A great grouping which should be read.
