Many cover feature elaborate cachets with raised lettering, while others include affixed black and white photographs of the submarines that saw service in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters including (with variants and some multiples) USS Thresher, Guardfish, Tautog, Gar, Grampus, Grayback, Albacore, Grunion, Haddo, Lapon, Sargo, Perch, Seal, Sealion, Seadragon, Grouper, Gurnard, Amberjack, Barb, Saury, Hoe, Bashaw, Gunnel, Hake, Greenling, Gato, Mackerel, Corvina, Flounder, Mingo, Tambor, Harder, Lapone, Jack, Sailfish, Kipjack, Bluefish and others.
