37. JONATHAN TRUMBULL (1710 - 1785) Governor of Connecticut during the American Revolution who was critical in providing necessary supplies to the Continental Army. Manuscript D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., Lebanon, 1776, an order that the Treasurer issue ten pounds to be used as expenses by a Mr. Badcock: "...as Express [rider] with my letter to Gen. Schuyler &c to Tyconderoga, He to be accountable...". Letter is in the hand of Signer WILLIAM WILLIAMS (1731-1811). Fine condition, in a beautiful mat with engraving $300-400
