(1762 - 1816) Private and military secretary to George Washington, also ransomed prisoners held by the Pasha of Tripoli. L.S. 1p. legal folio, "Department of War Accountants office", Apr. 30, 1816 to Paymaster Robert Brent informing him that "...Thomas Barker Captain 42 Infy, he has received a Credit for the following sums paid for the oppression &c of the Deserters named at foot - which you will be pleased to have stopt [sic] from their pay accordingly" Below, the names of the deserters have been added including "JOSEPH DALY", "WALTER LOCKMAN" and "JEDEDIAH WOOD". Top margin affixed to a card, usual folds, else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
