TEST PILOT CHARLES "CHUCK" GRAHAM ARCHIVE
Superb grouping of personal and professional items belonging to famed test pilot Charles Graham. Graham had served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II and went on to work as a test pilot for North American Aviation, Inc. North American Aviation produced such famed planes as the T-6 Texan trainer, T-8, F-86 Sabre, the B-54, and the X-15 rocket plane. The lot consists of: Graham's WWII Instrument Pilot Certification (as Lieutenant); Graham's photo ID for North American Aviation, boldly signed "Charles Graham" and then-NAA President "J.H. Kindleberger", a flight pioneer and Aerospace Hall of Fame inductee; his "PHYSIOLOGICAL TRAINING" certification for having met Air Force protocols dated June 25, 1958. Also included are Graham's California driver's license, U.S. passport and other official identification, Graham's "Lifetime Membership" card in the Night Fighter Association of pilots, and additional documents, all presented in a black-bordered glass case. Additionally Included with the lot are: Graham's bound flight log books (2) dating from 1943-1948; Graham's FLIGHT AND ENGINEERING REPORT book for C-47 type testing; and a very nice leather-bound photograph album with 47 b/w photographs featuring Graham, fellow pilots, friends and family during WWII.
