Description: RICHARD E. BYRD
(1888 - 1957) American aviator and explorer, first to fly over the South Pole and established the base "Little America". T.L.S. with lengthy autograph postscript, 1p. 4to., Boston, Feb. 17, 1932 thanking a woman for "...for the two dolls you sent Helen. She has loved them very much...". Then in a short postscript, he apologies for "...the typewriter. I sincerely hope you won't think we['re] rude. Marie is not so well - that's why I am writing. She is better now I'm glad to say". Usual folds, else fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
