HERMANN BERNHARD RAMCKE (1889-1968) German general, commander of the Luftwaffe Second Parachute Division, captured in 1944 at the siege of Brest. Ramcke was also awarded the Knights Cross with Diamonds. His memoir Fallschirmjager Damals und Danach, Lorch-Verlag, Frankfurt, 1951, boldly inscribed and signed adding rank as "General der Fallschirmtruppe", February, 1952 on the front flyleaf.
