(1733 - 1804) American Revolution major general commanding the northern department, member of the Continental Congress and one of the first senators from New York. A.L.S. 1p. 4to. with integral address leaf, [n.p.] June 17, 1803 to Stephen Rensselaer informing him that his "...note to you on the bank becomes payable next week, and as you will not be here then be so good as to endorse the inclosed to a Substitute for my note...". Usual folds, light soiling, small loss from seal tear not affecting text, else very good.
