ORVILLE WRIGHT(1871 - 1948) American inventor and a pioneer of flight, Wright, with his brother Wilbur, made the first successful flight of a motor-driven airplane. Partly-printed D.S. "Orville Wright", a check drawn on the Union trust Co., Dayton, May 10, 1930, making a $1.25 payment to the Royal Typewriter Co. Punch cancel clear of signature, else very good. Nicely matted with wood fillets and cloth, with a photo of the Wright Flyer.
