A fine collection of three partly printed D.S.s being drafts drawn on the account of impresario Sir AUGUSTUS HARRIS (1852 - 1896), 1p. oblong 8vo., ea., London, July 24, 1893. The first draft is issued to EMMA CALVE (1858 - 1942) who signs in receipt of £100 and dates it "25 Juillet 1893." The second is issued to EMMA ALBANI (1847 - 1930) who signs in receipt of £280 on July 27, 1893. The third is signed by LILIAN NORDICA (1857 - 1914) who accepts the sum of £60 on July 28, 1893. Augustus Harris was a noted impresario and manager of the Drury Lane Theater in London from 1879 to his death in 1896. Stamp and ink cancellations affect Harris' signature but well clear of those of the divas, usual folds, else very good.
