NORMAN ROCKWELL
(1894 - 1978) American painter and illustrator known for his homey, American genre paintings. A large and striking I.S.P. 11" x 14" b/w on a 13" x 18" mount showing Rockwell seated in a tweed jacket and bow tie at Colonial Williamsburg. Signed and inscribed on the mount "To Baren [?] Williams sincerely Norman Rockwell March 17, '68 Williamsburg Va." The image was taken in Williamsburg during a visit to the historic town made to render a series of sketches for the living museum's new exhibition halls. Accompanied by a 1968 newspaper article on Rockwell's visit. Minor marginal wear to mount including a very small tear at the top right coroner, else fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
