Description:

LYNETTE FROMME (b. 1948) "Squeaky", follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. A.L.S. with her "Family" name "Red" as the initial "R" on the verso of a postcard, Alderson, WV, Dec. 23, 1979 to CHARLES MANSON in prison in Vacaville, Ca. In part: "...I will work on your vest letter as soon as I can do a good job making one or finde someone to get the pattern for you...I'm also into a patch pocket but it refuses to be hurried...She urges Manson to eat better foods and mentions Sandra Good ("B") as well. SOLD WITH: two sketches of jacket designs, one incorporating a backward-facing swastika, made on tracing paper and with notes in Fromme's hand. These were undoubtedly sent to Manson for his approval. From a grouping of Fromme's letters in the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote "Manson in His Own Words".

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
